Job Summary

The Maintenance Manager plays a critical role in ensuring the optimal functioning of plant equipment and facilities. This position involves designing and implementing strategies to maintain smooth and efficient operations, as well as coaching and developing Maintenance Leads, Technicians, and Apprentices.

Compensation and Benefits

The company offers a competitive salary range of $95,000 to $125,000 annually, plus a 10% annual bonus. Additionally, employees enjoy flexible scheduling, with minimal overtime required to maintain a healthy work-life balance. The company also provides three weeks of PTO, six weeks of paid parental leave, and comprehensive health insurance, dental, and vision coverage.

Key Responsibilities

  • Direct and schedule Maintenance Technicians, including interviewing, hiring, training, and performance reviews
  • Collaborate with Engineering Manager, Plant Manager, and Maintenance Planner to schedule maintenance and maximize departmental capabilities
  • Lead team meetings and oversee the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS)
  • Ensure maintenance information is properly communicated within the organization
  • Develop and maintain the maintenance budget and work with contractors and vendors for project and equipment quotes
  • Develop, maintain, and oversee the Preventative Maintenance process and schedules
  • Partner with operations to identify and execute continuous improvement projects to improve safety, efficiency, and cost savings
  • Oversee cleaning and maintenance of grounds, parking lots, fencing, and building facilities
  • Troubleshoot complex problems with equipment and participate in environmental sustainability initiatives

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Technical degree in Technical/Engineering preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in maintenance management or mechanics
  • 3+ years of experience in management/supervisory role preferred
  • Ability to operate Forklift, scissors, and aerial lifts
  • Strong skill set and education within electrical, mechanical automation, PLC, and SCADA systems
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide whole numbers, fractions, decimals, and percentages
  • Read and understand technical drawings to repair/maintain equipment
  • Valid driver's license
