Maintenance Director

The Maintenance Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring the optimal functioning of plant equipment and facilities. This position involves designing and implementing strategies to maintain smooth and efficient operations, as well as coaching and developing Maintenance Leads, Technicians, and Apprentices.
Compensation: $95,000 - $125,000 annually, plus a 10% annual bonus.
Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7am-4/5:00pm, approximately 50 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities- Direct and schedule Maintenance Technicians, including interviewing, hiring, training, planning, and performance reviews.
- Collaborate with the Engineering Manager, Plant Manager, Automation Manager, and Maintenance Planner to schedule maintenance that maximizes department capabilities while meeting plant needs.
- Lead team meetings and oversee the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
- Ensure maintenance information is properly communicated within the organization.
- Develop, track, review, and maintain the maintenance budget.
- Work with contractors and vendors for project and equipment quotes and scheduling work.
- Develop, maintain, and oversee the Preventative Maintenance process and schedules.
- Partner with operations to identify and execute continuous improvement projects to improve safety, efficiency, and cost savings.
- Oversee cleaning and maintenance of grounds, parking lots, fencing, and building facilities.
- Ensure team members complete work orders, records, logs, and other written or computer-based documents accurately and timely.
- Troubleshoot complex problems with equipment when maintenance technicians need assistance.
- Participate in environmental sustainability initiatives.
- Technical degree in Technical/Engineering preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in maintenance management or mechanics.
- 3+ years of experience in a management/supervisory role preferred.
- Ability to operate a forklift, scissors, and aerial lifts.
- Strong skill set and education within electrical, mechanical automation, PLC, and SCADA systems.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide whole numbers, fractions, decimals, and percentages.
- Read and understand technical drawings (e.g., blueprints, electronic/mechanical schematics, equipment manuals) to repair/maintain equipment.
- Valid driver's license.
