Outside Sales Account Manager

At SunSource, we are seeking a highly skilled Outside Sales Account Manager to join our team. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for generating new business sales and maintaining relationships with existing customers.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial automation and a proven track record of success in sales. You will be responsible for calling on all buying influences, including engineering, purchasing, and senior management, to generate opportunities and present pricing proposals.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Executing sales plans through interaction with customers, prospects, and key accounts
  • Sustaining long-term relationships with key individuals in key accounts
  • Identifying new sales opportunities and following up on new leads
  • Traveling throughout assigned territory to call on regular and prospective customers to solicit orders

Additionally, you will be responsible for compiling lists of prospective customers, quoting prices and credit terms, and presenting sales contracts for orders obtained. You will also work closely with the Inside Sales Team and Customer Service Representatives to facilitate customer requirements.

Requirements for this role include:

  • A strong business acumen and technical knowledge of industrial automation
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficiency in MS Office skills, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
