Position Overview

As a Lead Customer Engagement Associate, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the customer experience at Amazon Go. This position offers a Reduced Full-Time schedule, averaging between 30-39 hours per week, with a competitive pay starting at $20.05 per hour, along with available benefits.

Availability Requirements:
Candidates must have open availability from 5 AM to 10 PM, Sunday through Saturday.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for customers, utilizing effective engagement strategies to enhance their shopping experience.
  • Facilitate ongoing training sessions focused on product knowledge, quality standards, and operational procedures, while assisting management in identifying training needs.
  • Maintain store security by holding a key and adhering to proper opening and closing protocols.
  • Support team leadership by providing constructive feedback, assisting peers with customer inquiries, and ensuring compliance with break and lunch schedules.
  • Assist in supervisory tasks such as scheduling, payroll oversight, and timesheet verification.
  • Participate in the onboarding process for new associates and assist in conducting interviews as necessary.
  • Ensure the effective execution of inventory management processes, guiding associates in receiving, stocking, and replenishing products.
  • Contribute to the continuous enhancement of customer experience and operational efficiency by participating in the development of best practices.
  • Utilize inventory management systems for scanning, processing, and counting merchandise.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the store environment at all times.
  • Identify and communicate challenges affecting customer and associate experiences, collaborating with management to foster a positive store culture.
  • Work alongside management to uphold safety and quality standards within the store.
  • Adapt to a dynamic and evolving work environment.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.

QualificationsBasic Qualifications:
  • 1+ years of leadership experience or 1+ years of experience with Amazon.
  • 3+ years of experience in retail or customer-facing roles.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior experience in Amazon Physical Stores.
  • Experience managing inventory in a retail or distribution environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • Experience in training and developing team members.
  • Strong verbal communication and customer service skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide peer feedback.
  • Proven track record in problem-solving and achieving results.
