Assistant Professor in Cognition and Cognitive Science

We are seeking a highly qualified candidate for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in the Department of Educational Psychology at the University of Minnesota. The successful candidate will have expertise in Cognition/Cognitive Science and Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Education, with a strong research program focused on theoretical and empirical examinations of human learning and technology, AI-based systems, and ethical implications of AI in education.
Responsibilities- Develop and sustain a strong research program, securing external funds and publishing in top-tier journals.
- Teach graduate and undergraduate-level courses on cognition, AI, and education, with a focus on diversity and inclusion.
- Participate in departmental, college, and university service, including outreach and public engagement activities.
- Ph.D. in Educational Psychology, Cognitive Psychology, Data Science, or related fields.
- Strong record of publications and research productivity.
- Potential for securing external funding and training doctoral students.
- Demonstrated ability to engage in interdisciplinary research and work collaboratively with colleagues.
