About the Job

We are seeking a highly qualified Assistant Professor to join our department in the College of Liberal Arts at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities. The successful candidate will have a strong background in audiology and hearing science, with a focus on hearing disorders, rehabilitative audiology, and hearing assessment.

The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated commitment to diversity and inclusion, with a strong track record of promoting equity and social justice in their research, teaching, and service. They will also have a proven ability to develop and teach courses in the AuD curriculum, advise students in Au.D. and Ph.D. programs, and contribute to the department's research and service missions.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and teach courses in the AuD curriculum
  • Advise students in Au.D. and Ph.D. programs
  • Contribute to the department's research and service missions
  • Develop a sustainable research program
  • Pursue external funding
Qualifications
  • Ph.D. in Speech-Language-Hearing Sciences and Disorders, Psychology, Neuroscience, Education, or other related discipline
  • Demonstrated ability and eagerness to teach at the undergraduate and graduate levels
  • History of scholarship within the field of audiology, hearing science, or another relevant discipline
