We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Associate Director of Conference and Event Services to join our team at Creighton University. This role will provide strategic and operational leadership for the Signature Event Planning Team, Centralized Reservations, and the Summer Conference program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct the development and implementation of the University's Signature events plan, including Presidential Events and other high-visibility events that impact institutional reputation.
  • Oversee the University's Commencement ceremony and other key presidential events, ensuring they are executed properly to build affinity among key audiences.
  • Responsible for Centralized Reservations, including marketing and acquiring new business for both Omaha and Phoenix event spaces, while streamlining and improving current/existing business.
  • Oversee and manage Summer at Creighton, including sales and marketing of summer conference opportunities, event scheduling and registration, event planning and logistics, and contracting.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Higher Education administration, Business administration, Marketing, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major required. Master's degree preferred.
  • 3 years of event, operations, and/or business experience required.
  • 2 years of experience supervising professional staff and managing teams required. Event planning and execution experience preferred.
  • Computer skills with ability to use Microsoft office products (e.g., Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, etc.). Experience with CRM and event management software platforms (e.g., 25Live, EMS, CVENT, etc.) is a plus.
  • Fiscal and budget management experience. Experience managing contracts and relationships with clients and external vendors preferred.
  • Must demonstrate a strong commitment to the Catholic, Jesuit mission of Creighton University.
