Role Overview

This role plays a critical part in ensuring the success of our newest Design Consultants (DCs) by providing expert coaching and support. You'll work closely with district-level leadership teams and the training department to assist new DCs in solidifying and applying the knowledge of our products, processes, and resources they acquired during training. Additionally, you'll support veteran DCs with their ongoing development via ride-alongs and team meetings.

Responsibilities
  • Support new DCs on ride-alongs 5 days a week for the first 3-4 weeks of selling, providing feedback and coaching specific to their needs
  • Assist new DCs in reviewing training items and coach them on opportunities that arise during appointments
  • Help review client invoices to catch potential errors before orders go into production
  • Verify accuracy of window measurements while on ride-alongs
  • Provide accurate, substantive, and timely written and verbal feedback to the District Sales Manager (DSM)
  • Instill good habits in new DCs that lead to their success, including time management, following processes, and responding promptly to all email inquiries
  • Improve sales error occurrence and first-time installation rates by researching causes, coaching DCs, and sharing feedback in team meetings
  • Partner with installers to identify causes of measuring errors and assist with measuring workshops in coordination with the Training Department or Installed Services Department
  • Present product-related updates in team meetings as required by the Training Department
  • Coordinate installer ride-alongs with new hires during training

Requirements
  • Demonstrated customer service skills with a strong relationship-based approach

  • High school degree or equivalent is required
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Windows-based platforms, such as Word and Outlook
  • Reliable transportation, a valid driver's license, and proof of insurance
  • Able to travel overnight and commute regularly; approved travel-related expenses are paid by the company, and a per diem is provided for overnight stays
  • Capable of lifting and carrying up to 35 pounds
  • 2-year college degree in a related field is preferred
  • 2 years of facilitation training experience is preferred
  • 3-5 years of retail or in-home sales support experience is preferred
  • Experience within the window treatment industry is preferred
