Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Athletic Training Specialist to join our team at JAG Physical Therapy. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing professional services and administrative support to organizations through outreach athletic training contracts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish and maintain an effective athletic training program for the contracted organization, including a functional athletic training room with updated policies and procedures.
  • Provide athletic trainer services for events and competitions, ensuring the health and safety of athletes.
  • Conduct injury assessments, treatment, rehabilitation, and reconditioning for athletes affiliated with the contracted organization.
  • Document injuries, illnesses, treatments, and rehabilitation in adherence with JAG PT policy and state licensure standards.
  • Create a safe playing environment by monitoring and controlling environmental risks.
  • Develop and deliver educational programs on health and fitness topics to local schools, coaches, athletes, and communities.
  • Manage workers' compensation claims, submitting insurance information and tracking compensation reports within HIPPA/FERPA guidelines.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Athletic Training from a CAATE-approved program and completion of BOC certification.
  • Maintain 50 CEU's per certification period and remain licensed in the state of practice as an Athletic Trainer.
  • Department of Education clearance (if working in secondary schools) and current BLS certification.
  • Maintain Personal Liability Insurance and demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in fluid situations.
Estimated Salary:

$65,000 - $85,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
