The ideal candidate for the Vice President of Business Growth is a proactive hunter who does not depend on incoming leads.

This individual must demonstrate a proven history of surpassing sales objectives within the advertising and marketing sector, particularly with mid to enterprise-level clientele.

A well-established industry network and a strong history of generating new business for brands seeking a partner in performance marketing, retail media, and analytics are essential.

This position calls for a highly driven, results-oriented entrepreneurial mindset to meet quarterly and annual revenue targets. The ideal candidate would possess a well-connected network of key decision-makers at major brands.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and execute a new business sales strategy that identifies potential clients aligning with MindgruveMacarta's service offerings and goals.

Foster and maintain client relationships with past and prospective clients, key stakeholders, and decision-makers.
Generate and oversee a strong sales pipeline to ensure a continuous flow of new business opportunities.
Meet and exceed business development targets and objectives as outlined in the performance plan (quarterly and annual new business quotas).

Strategize and formulate detailed plans for how MindgruveMacarta can create new business opportunities and client acquisitions at industry conferences, gatherings, and events.

Cultivate a collaborative and high-performance culture, encouraging teamwork and innovation.
Collaborate with internal teams to develop presentations and proposals.
Partner with key platform partners such as Google, Amazon, Walmart, Meta, and Salesforce to drive channel sales leads.

Serve as the sales lead for MindgruveMacarta by prospecting, conducting thorough needs assessments, and meticulously managing opportunities throughout the entire sales lifecycle.

Work with internal teams to deliver timely pitches and proposals tailored to each prospect's unique requirements.
Ensure proposals and new client Statements of Work (SOWs) are vetted internally to guarantee client profitability.

Continuously collaborate and communicate with internal teams to assess the sales process - identify gaps, streamline communications, and optimize sales.

Stay informed on industry trends and update leadership on new insights that could be leveraged to expand new business.
Other duties and projects as assigned.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree.
8+ years of sales and prospecting experience in a mid to large-sized digital marketing and/or retail media agency is preferred.

A proven track record of successfully establishing an agency's new business practice for performance marketing and/or retail media, including marketplaces (such as Amazon, Walmart, Target, etc.) is required.

Comfortable engaging and presenting to C-suite executives and well-versed in all aspects of performance marketing and retail media with the ability to manage complex client relationships.

Experience collaborating with internal teams to estimate budgets, internal resources needed, and facilitating new client onboarding with the account management team.
Understanding a broad spectrum of performance marketing channels, including paid, owned, and earned platforms, particularly social platforms, is preferred.
Strong business acumen with the ability to comprehend client needs and market dynamics.
Exceptional presentation and communication skills, both verbal and written.
Expert negotiation skills.
Excellent leadership and decision-making capabilities.
Ability to close new business opportunities.
Exceptionally strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
Experience working with U.S. and global clients and colleagues.

Proficient with Hubspot, Pipedrive, Salesforce, or similar CRM software is required.
Experience with Mac and Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Forms, etc.) is required.
Experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Pages) is required.
Highly proficient in meeting platforms (e.g., Zoom, Teams).
Compensation will be commensurate with experience.
