Job Description:Key Responsibilities:- Review and summarize project data, conduct field checks for compliance with design documents and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor, report, and provide recommendations and solutions to the Project Director and PMO relative to current project status, delivery objectives, schedule, costs, budget, staffing delays, disputes, changes, and compliance with standard operating procedures and other construction requirements.
- Identify risks, propose approaches to mitigating their impacts, and maintain a risk register database to enter and update risks and mitigation plans.
- Coordinate with the Design Team and others to develop and execute construction phasing and swing space plans and track progress against those plans.
- Work with the Design Team, contractors, inspectors, regulatory bodies, and others to resolve complex, construction-related issues in a timely manner and within budget.
- Directly oversee the close-out of campus projects for compliance with the requirements of regulatory bodies, district, and PMO, including coordination with the College's relocation project manager of activities related to FF&E, asset disposition/surplus, and other matters pertaining to relocation.
- Assist other project managers in the management and coordination of the planning, programming, and design phases of campus projects and in reporting to the College stakeholders, district, and PMO.
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Urban Planning, Construction Management, or a closely related field (4 years of additional qualifying experience in excess of the minimum stated below may be substituted for the required education).
- 7 years of experience in management or multiple design and construction projects; 2 years of this experience in educational facility design and construction.
- Experience with regulatory bodies, construction/design processes, or similar processes.
- Experience within a large capital improvement program and familiarity with relevant provisions of the California Public Contract Code.
- Experience in formal construction partnering.
- A current and valid Certificate of Registration as an Architect by the California Architectural Board or as a Professional Engineer by the California State Board for Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors.
- A valid Construction Manager (CCM) credential by the Construction Manager Certification Institute (CMCI).
- Knowledge of all parts of the project life cycle, to include planning, design, construction, and closeout.
- Experience in alternative delivery methods.
- Ability to multitask, solve problems, and successfully deliver projects.
The offered rate of compensation will be based on a variety of non-discriminatory factors, including education, qualifications, experience, and geographic location. The salary range for this position is $125,000-$136,500.
