Role Summary

The Product Data Specialist is a pivotal role within the marketing team based in Hillsboro, NH (remote options available within proximity to headquarters). This team oversees comprehensive marketing activities including advertising, product launches, data management, in-store merchandising, omni-channel strategies, market research, and trade exhibitions.

The Product Data Specialist will report to the Catalog Data/Digital Marketing Manager and will be tasked with ensuring the accuracy and integrity of product data utilized on our websites and point-of-sale systems. This position is essential for building a robust foundation to enhance our digital operations and deliver an outstanding customer experience.

This role demands meticulous attention to detail, a solid understanding of data architecture, project management, and product management systems, as well as the establishment of best practices within the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Product Information Management
  • Lead initiatives to implement a global Product Information Management (PIM) platform, focusing on data quality, governance, and streamlined processes to adapt to the evolving needs of the organization.
  • Organize and execute updates to product information and lifecycle changes across internal and external systems to facilitate timely and accurate product introductions.
  • Conduct regular audits of database changes and catalog interchanges to ensure the accuracy and quality of product listings.
  • Ensure timely delivery of ACES & PIES data to stakeholders while maintaining detailed records.
  • Manage data discrepancy processes, including research and analysis to maintain data integrity.
  • Act as the primary contact for resolving data-related issues from stakeholders.
eCommerce Product Oversight
  • Collaborate with the Digital Marketing Specialist to optimize product content for performance and search engine visibility.
Data Governance
  • Establish and uphold database standards and best practices, including documentation of processes and workflows.
  • Identify opportunities for workflow improvements to enhance operational efficiency and data quality.
  • Utilize advanced technologies, including machine learning and AI, to enhance product data management solutions.
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to manage projects related to product information and application databases.
  • Utilize project management systems for transparency and efficient task management.
Project Coordination
  • Participate in departmental meetings and undertake additional tasks as assigned.
Candidate Profile
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Management, Computer Science, Data Science/Analytics, Engineering, or a related field, with proven experience in product information or master data management.
  • Resourceful, detail-oriented team player with a history of successful collaboration on cross-functional projects.
  • Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience with strong analytical skills and the ability to navigate complex data sets.
  • Proven track record in defining and achieving product roadmap objectives.
  • Expertise in Microsoft Excel and SQL, with experience handling large datasets and understanding database architecture.
  • Strong attention to detail and effective time management skills.
  • Experience in eCommerce or digital product management is preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage with internal and external partners.
  • Proven ability to conduct training for stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects efficiently.
  • Experience in the automotive or industrial data sectors is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with PIM systems, project management software, SQL/no-SQL, and Python is a plus.
  • Basic understanding of SEO best practices is beneficial.
  • Experience with automotive aftermarket standards and databases is a plus.
