Our client is actively seeking qualified candidates for the role of Senior Cost Financial Analyst at a cutting-edge manufacturing facility in Hillsboro, Texas. This position is integral to the management team within a culture focused on continuous improvement.
The Senior Cost Financial Analyst will deliver robust financial guidance to the operations sector, encompassing manufacturing, sales inventory, and the operations planning process.
Key responsibilities include:
- Analyzing and interpreting financial and operational metrics.
- Collaborating with plant leadership to enhance cost efficiency and productivity initiatives.
- Providing financial support for the new manufacturing site through detailed analysis of financial outcomes, forecast preparation, standard cost and budget formulation, and monthly closing processes.
- Engaging in process enhancement activities.
This role may expand to oversee multiple plants. Daily tasks will involve:
- Partnering with the plant manager to promote cost-saving measures and productivity enhancements.
- Conducting month-end and year-end closing activities while presenting financial results to relevant stakeholders.
- Assisting in the creation of plant BOMs, routings, and standard costs.
- Reconciling related general ledger accounts and evaluating the financial aspects of capital projects.
- Driving the development of the plant's financial operating plan and managing monthly financial forecasts.
- Performing financial and strategic analyses to support informed business decisions and investments.
- Collaborating with the leadership team on ad-hoc analyses to identify business trends and provide insights for financial forecasting and modeling.
Additionally, the role involves:
- Creating and refining financial processes and procedures for plant operations.
- Maintaining internal controls, ensuring SOX compliance, and coordinating quarterly control assessments.
- Other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Applicants should possess a Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting, or equivalent experience, with a minimum of 7 years in manufacturing cost accounting. Familiarity with SAP is preferred, though experience with other major ERP systems is acceptable. Candidates must demonstrate strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, along with a solid financial acumen, analytical abilities, problem-solving skills, and data management expertise. Proficiency in Excel for analysis and decision modeling, as well as familiarity with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook, is essential.
