Job Overview:
Participate in our Inpatient Pharmacy Technician Recruitment Event. This is an opportunity to learn more about our organization and the role of a Pharmacy Technician within our team.
Position Summary:
The Pharmacy Technician I, under the guidance of a licensed pharmacist, carries out essential technical functions within the pharmacy department. Responsibilities may include medication preparation, dispensing, inventory management, and basic computer operations. The role requires proficiency in various pharmacy practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Dispenses medications under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist, ensuring accuracy and compliance with protocols. (50%)
- Addresses and escalates inquiries or issues beyond the pharmacy technician's scope to the supervising pharmacist as necessary. (35%)
- Maintains adequate inventory levels to support uninterrupted patient care and operates pharmacy equipment effectively. (15%)
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Completion of a pharmacy technician training program is preferred.
Experience:
- Less than one year of experience as a pharmacy technician in a healthcare or retail environment is preferred.
Licenses:
- CPHT-Certified Pharmacy Technician (PTCB) is required.
- PHAT Licensed Pharmacy Technician (DORA) is required.
Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to collaborate effectively as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and knowledge of fundamental pharmacy practices.
- Mathematical computation skills and organizational abilities.
- Proficient in typing, keyboarding, and proofreading.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office is preferred.
Work Type: Regular
Salary: $30.41 per hour
