UPMC - Pittsburgh Medical Center is seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant or Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner to join our team in the Department of Urology at UPMC Shadyside. This is a full-time position that requires working 100% in the OR, with a focus on robotic urologic surgery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide patient care activities for a group of patients and their families through the application of independent judgment, communication, and collaboration with all team members.
- Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with physicians, other healthcare providers, patients, and their families to achieve desired patient outcomes throughout the continuum of care.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of patient care plans, ensuring that they are tailored to the individual needs of each patient.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
Requirements:
- Graduate of a physician assistant program accredited by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the physician assistant (ARC-PA) or a nurse practitioner program.
- Current state PA license certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) or CRNP certification.
- Experience in a clinical setting, preferably in urology or a related field.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information.
