Position Overview
The Accounts Receivable Associate is essential in facilitating the daily functions of the accounts receivable department. This role involves managing and tracking incoming payments, ensuring revenue security through accurate posting of receipts, and proactively addressing outstanding receivables. A keen attention to detail is crucial for effectively handling significant cash amounts and performing all tasks with precision.
Key Responsibilities
- Reconcile daily cash drawer balances to ensure all payments are accurately recorded.
- Verify the integrity of accounts receivable data, identify discrepancies, and implement resolutions.
- Monitor overdue accounts and engage with clients regarding payment statuses, applying necessary restrictions on delinquent accounts.
- Provide in-person assistance, respond to emails, and handle phone inquiries, directing complex questions to the appropriate personnel.
- Prepare daily summaries for cash drawer sessions and ensure proper documentation of all transactions.
- Process payments and charges for student accounts and other miscellaneous transactions.
- Maintain accurate electronic records of daily cash reports and payment plans.
- Handle returned checks and non-sufficient funds (NSF) transactions for accounts receivable.
- Manage assigned projects and tasks as required.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- A minimum of two years of experience in an accounts receivable capacity or a related field.
- At least two years of experience in cash handling.
- Official academic transcripts may be required.
