Position: Material Handler

Role Summary:

In this position, you will leverage your expertise in material logistics to ensure timely fulfillment of customer orders while upholding a clean and secure workspace. Responsibilities include receiving and organizing materials, preparing items for production, managing inventory, engaging in continuous improvement initiatives, and dispatching customer orders.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

As a Material Handler, your duties will encompass:
  • Interpreting work orders, shipping lists, vendor documentation, and verbal or written directives from supervisors.
  • Assisting in the training of new team members as required.
  • Ensuring security protocols are followed in the warehouse and loading areas.
  • Maintaining accurate records of inventory and operations.
  • Transporting materials as needed to fulfill job responsibilities.
  • Identifying and reporting any operational issues, equipment malfunctions, or material defects to management.
  • Keeping the work environment and equipment in a clean, safe, and organized state.
  • Adhering to established company policies and safety regulations.
  • Upholding quality standards in all tasks.
Required Qualifications:

We seek individuals who demonstrate a proactive approach while prioritizing safety and quality. Candidates should possess:
  • A High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • A minimum of 6 months experience in reading orders, part numbers, descriptions, and quantities within a warehouse setting.
  • At least 1 year of experience with Warehouse Management Software or similar computer applications.
  • The physical capability to stand for extended periods, lift packages weighing up to 60 pounds throughout the workday, and operate manual material handling equipment.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in a warehouse environment.
  • Familiarity with inventory management practices.
  • Background in a production facility.
