Job Summary

Phoenix Closures is seeking a highly skilled Material Handling Specialist to join our team. As a Material Handling Specialist, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory, receiving raw materials and products, and shipping orders in a timely manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory levels, receive raw materials and products, and issue materials to production.
  • Material Handling: Operate material handling equipment, load and unload trailers, and stage and ship orders.
  • Warehouse Operations: Maintain a safe working environment, operate fork lifts, and follow all company GMP, Code of Conduct, and Safety Rules.
  • Shipping and Receiving: Ship orders completely, accurately, and in a timely manner, and receive raw materials and products into the ERP system.
  • Quality Control: Perform RTIs for color, liner, and WIP caps returned to the warehouse from production.
  • Reporting: Prepare weekly inventory reports for Purchasing and perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: 1-3 years of forklift experience.
  • Physical Demands: Pushing or pulling (5-25 lbs. typically % of the day), lifting or carrying (5-25 lbs. typically 0-15% of the day), simple grasping (15-70%), and firm grasping (15-70%).
