Zurich Insurance Company Ltd. is seeking talented individuals to participate in our innovative General Insurance Apprentice Program. This two-year program combines targeted coursework at a leading community college with relevant work rotations at our headquarters.
Program Highlights:
- Earn a tuition-free Associate in Applied Science degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Insurance.
- Work in a paid, benefit-eligible full-time position at Zurich Insurance Company Ltd.
- Receive a Department of Labor Certificate of Apprenticeship.
- Possess credentials and skills for today's ever-changing marketplace.
Responsibilities:
- Support our Medical Bill Review Team with research and resolution of technical problems in medical bill review.
- Resolve customer escalations by handling inquiries related to fee schedule and usual and customary fee reductions.
- Resolve bill review issues by contacting medical providers to explain bill review determinations.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Must be enrolled and validated as college ready by Harper Community College Admissions.
- Strong customer service skills, collaboration and problem-solving skills, and ability to communicate with impact.
- Ability to balance multiple priorities between work and school deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1 or more years of work experience and/or leadership role in student activities and/or significant voluntary community service.
- Interest in pursuing a career in the insurance industry.
- Ability to navigate learning and interactions in an online environment.
