We're seeking a career-driven individual with a medical, insurance, claims, or legal background to join our team as an Associate Claims Analyst. This role offers a unique opportunity to develop relationships with policyholders and defense counsel, working collaboratively to investigate claims and achieve positive outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough claim investigations, assessing policy coverage and evaluating liability, causation, and damages.
  • Collaborate with defense counsel to develop effective case strategies and coordinate investigations.
  • Direct the defense of claim files, ensuring timely and accurate documentation.
  • Prepare case summaries and present claims for committee meetings.
  • Participate in pre-trial and settlement conferences or mediation.
  • Determine settlement value and negotiate settlements when appropriate.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree required; may consider demonstrated equivalent professional experience.
  • 1-2 years' experience in the legal, insurance, medical, or claims management field, preferred.
  • Proven relationship management expertise.
  • Working understanding of medical records.
  • Microsoft Office Suite proficiency, with emphasis on Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

  • Ability to interact with policyholders, legal professionals, external vendors, management, and board members.
  • Effective written and oral communication skills to provide clear and concise information.
  • Effective analytical skills to gather information, analyze facts, and make recommendations.
  • Ability to prepare robust reporting and provide broad scope overviews.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
Work Environment
  • Performs work in an office environment (hybrid opportunity at manager's discretion).
  • Occasional travel required.
