Job Title: General Manager - Cannabis Dispensary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced General Manager to lead our cannabis dispensary in Maryland. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the dispensary, ensuring compliance with state and local regulations, and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operational Management: Develop and implement Standard Operational Procedures (SOPs), best practices, and policies to advance the company's mission, vision, goals, and objectives at the store level.
  • Employee Management: Hire, develop, and train dispensary employees, lead the development of employee training materials, and conduct performance reviews on a regular basis.
  • Financial Management: Manage financial records and cash handling procedures, conduct weekly audits, and report any variances.
  • Customer Experience: Collaborate with other functional leaders to develop and implement a best-in-class customer experience, manage all aspects of the dispensary with a customer-first mentality, and stay abreast of customer and business trends.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain in-depth knowledge of every product and strain in the store, interface with wholesalers and grow/processors to negotiate and source quality product supply, and ensure inventory areas are clean and compliant with health and safety regulations.
Requirements:
  • Excellent corporate communications skills, including advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
  • Must possess a current state cannabis worker license or permit (if applicable).
  • Excellent computer and technical skills, including experience with web browsers, retail POS systems, and credit card processing terminals.
  • High-level critical thinking, attention to detail, and ability to create and review data metrics.
  • Must be comfortable handling high-volume cash.
  • Must be able to individually lift up to 40lbs.
  • Must be able to work in an environment with moderate to loud noise levels.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • High degree of discretion and professionalism when handling sensitive information.
  • Willingness to comply with all industry-related laws, regulations, and policies.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a team, driving operational efficiencies and effectively communicating at various levels within the organization.
  • Proven success in maintaining quality service and client relationships in a high-paced setting.
  • Authorization to work in the United States and must be 21 years of age or older.
