Position Overview:

The Commercial Account Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting the Account Service Team with the management of designated commercial lines accounts. This role demands a meticulous and organized individual committed to delivering exceptional customer service and fostering professional relationships with clients.

The Coordinator is expected to uphold the ethical standards mandated by the Colorado Department of Insurance and Moody Insurance Agency, Inc.


Key Responsibilities:


Below is a summary of essential duties for the Commercial Account Coordinator position, though additional responsibilities may be assigned:

  • Deliver outstanding internal and external customer service, ensuring prompt and courteous responses.
  • Efficiently process endorsement requests for drivers, vehicles, or equipment modifications as directed by the Account Team.
  • Confirm that endorsements received from insurance carriers align with the requests made for adding or removing drivers, vehicles, or equipment.
  • Distribute endorsements to clients via email or mail when modifications are made.
  • Accurately bill premiums and commissions in a timely manner, adhering to departmental policies.
  • Issue Auto ID cards upon request and manage the bulk processing of these cards at renewal.
  • Maintain daily task management, ensuring all assignments are completed by the end of the workday.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in navigating insurance company websites to obtain loss runs and other necessary documents as requested.
  • Retrieve MVRs (driving records) and Experience Mod Worksheets from carrier websites as needed.
  • Prepare proposals for client meetings according to established procedures.
  • Ensure policies are delivered to clients within five business days of approval from the Account Manager/Account Executive.
  • Process audits and deliver results to clients within three business days of receipt.
  • Provide backup support to other Account Service Teams as required.
  • Work towards obtaining a Colorado Property and Casualty License and complete the Total CSR program within four months of passing the licensing exam.
  • Fulfill Continuing Education requirements to maintain the Property and Casualty License and pursue industry designations such as CISR and AINS.
  • Assist with front desk duties as needed, including answering phones, greeting visitors, and managing deliveries.

Qualifications:


Minimum qualifications include:

  • Ability to read and write in English.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Proficient computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office applications, especially Word and Excel.
  • Prior experience with AMS 360, Worksmart, or similar agency management software is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong customer service orientation and teamwork abilities; must effectively interact with clients, colleagues, and management.
  • High attention to detail and robust organizational skills.
  • Effective prioritization skills, urgency, and the ability to work efficiently under time constraints.
  • Problem-solving capabilities.
  • Willingness to work in-office for an initial period before transitioning to a hybrid schedule with supervisor approval.
