Compliance Technical Specialist

We seek a motivated Compliance Analysis Professional to provide critical support and technical leadership. Key responsibilities include:
- Provide compliance analysis and technical guidance to contractor audit staff.
- Conduct security policy and system-specific compliance audits for user agencies within a 3-year cycle.
- Review and assess approximately 50 security questionnaires and "Evidence of Compliance" documents annually.
- Analyze user agency transaction reports from program systems.
- Prepare and present Audit Findings and Ratings Reports.
- Monitor and manage Plan of Action and Milestone (POAM) corrective action plans, collecting and reporting metrics to service owners and stakeholders.
- Manage user accounts in the Security Audit Tool.
- Coordinate and facilitate meetings with stakeholders to manage the audit process and report results.
- Develop and implement remedial plans to address Security Audit Findings.
- Update Security Audit policy, Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ), and Audit Tool "How to Guides" for auditors and user agencies.
- Create and manage audit questionnaires to reflect updated Security Policy and system updates.
- Coordinate and meet with user agencies to assist with the audit process.
- Monitor and track the audit status of user agencies.
- Stay current with changes to the Security Policy and system-specific manuals, and their impact on audit requirements.
- Develop and present briefings to program management on user agency security audit progress.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of IT experience, preferably in auditing security controls and policies.
- Experience conducting security reviews and audits.
- Experience creating audit reports.
- Experience collecting, analyzing, and reporting audit/program metrics.
- Able to obtain and maintain a public trust clearance.
- Demonstrated ability to write policy and technical-related documents.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, engineering, business administration, or a similar field.
