Position Summary

The Project Manager is tasked with overseeing project timelines and budgets while devising and executing technical solutions and construction methodologies based on design specifications and visual data. This role demands the ability to manage multiple tasks with precision and requires exceptional organizational skills. Hands-on experience in scheduling, effective communication, and fabrication or general construction is essential. The Project Manager must be prepared to travel as necessary for project requirements and will report directly to the Production Manager.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Sales Team to develop accurate project cost estimates.
  • Coordinate and review all technical schematics with the CAD Department for shop builds based on designer layouts and visual aids.
  • Oversee and review detailed assembly and installation drawings for production use during load-in.
  • Research and procure materials and hardware necessary for the construction of designed units.
  • Maintain active communication with the construction team and manage shop production schedules in collaboration with the Shop Foreman.
  • Work closely with department heads and subcontractors to achieve budgetary and scheduling objectives.
  • Engage with clients and supervisory staff throughout the design and construction phases of projects.
  • Manage alterations to project scope and assess budgetary implications.
  • Track and report project expenditures against the budget.
  • Ensure oversight of safety and quality control measures.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant industry experience in technical theater and/or scenic fabrication.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Illustrator, and MS Office Suite.
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to prioritize short- and long-term project objectives effectively.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with a collaborative, team-oriented approach.
  • Willingness to work overtime as needed.

Educational Requirements

High School Diploma or Equivalent.
