Job Summary

WWC Engineering is seeking a highly skilled Project Manager/Professional Licensed Surveyor to lead and work directly with our professional teams in developing, procuring, and executing projects in the fields of surveying, engineering, and planning.

The successful candidate will be responsible for mentoring, tracking resources, and managing client relationships. They will work directly with the department manager in business development in support of WWC's strategic and operational initiatives and goals.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science degree or Master of Science and professional registration in engineering, surveying, or geology required.
  • At least 8 years of experience in field surveying, drafting, and analyses.
  • Professional registration in the State of Wyoming, or the ability to achieve licensure within 6 months.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute land surveys to establish legal boundaries of property.
  • Research historical maps and land records, including previous surveys and boundary lines.
  • Prepare and maintain data, plots, records, documents, legal descriptions, sketches, maps, and reports related to land surveys.
  • Record all survey results, including dimensions of land or land features, location, contour, shape, and elevation.
  • Interpret survey data and prepare calculations to determine shapes, positions, and elevations.
  • Use satellite-based global positioning systems (GPS), total stations, levels, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV), sonar, and scanners to collect and record data to create reports and maps containing information from field measurements.
  • Collaborate with engineering staff, clients, and other invested individuals to review and coordinate findings.
  • Responsible for tracking survey equipment inventory, handling minor adjustments, and necessary repairs. Communicate repair costs to branch managers.
  • Maintain knowledge and understanding of federal, state, and local surveying laws; rules, regulations, and county ordinances; and policies, procedures, and best practices relative to land surveying.
  • Supervise survey technician project work and oversee communication to project managers.
  • Responsible for data collection on engineering projects. Coordinate and train technicians or engineers in data collection survey methods, schedule, and delegation of workload.
  • Able to operate a motor vehicle, ATV/UTV, and have a valid driver's license.

This position will involve some travel using WWC vehicles, and the offer is contingent upon passing a pre-employment drug & alcohol test.
