New York Foundation for the Arts is seeking a Chief People Officer to lead its human resources initiatives.

Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, the Chief People Officer will be responsible for crafting and executing extensive human resources strategies that resonate with the Foundation's mission and strategic objectives. This role is pivotal in supporting the organization’s vision and growth while addressing both strengths and areas for improvement.

As a key advocate for the Foundation's culture, the Chief People Officer will embody and promote the core values of the organization, fostering a sense of accountability, consistency, and support throughout the organization and within the communities it serves.

The Chief People Officer will collaborate closely with the Chief Executive Officer and the leadership team to shape the future of the New York Foundation for the Arts. This position demands a strategic leader capable of designing and implementing exceptional strategies to attract, retain, and nurture a diverse talent pool, leveraging the Foundation's brand to position it as a leading destination for talent.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing performance management processes.
  • Fostering a positive and inclusive workplace environment.
  • Implementing strategies to assess and enhance employee satisfaction and retention.
  • Managing employee relations and ensuring competitive compensation and benefits.
  • Upholding legal compliance in HR policies and practices.
  • Creating a high-quality onboarding and offboarding program focused on professional development and seamless employee transitions.

A bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred, along with a minimum of eight years of experience managing the human resources function in an organization of similar or larger size and scope. The New York Foundation for the Arts values diverse backgrounds and encourages all candidates who are passionate about this role to apply.

The compensation for this position ranges from $200,000 to $220,000 annually.
