Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and provide quality service in all areas of restaurant production.
  • Display and present all menu items to exact specification.
  • Maintain and organize your station and equipment in a neat and orderly fashion.
  • Assist the Sous Chef in guiding and maintaining a quality product.
  • Rotate, label, and date all food on station.
  • Season food properly and follow all processes in place.
  • Communicate efficiently with internal customers.
  • Fulfill requisitions properly and rotate product in the walk-in cooler.
  • Clean and maintain equipment properly.
  • Maintain and abide by state sanitation/health regulations and hotel requirements.
  • Organize and set up your workstation efficiently.

Requirements:

  • Good knife skills.
  • Knowledge of operating all kitchen equipment.
  • Basic mathematical skills for understanding recipes, measurements, and portion sizes.
  • Ability to read, write, and understand the English language.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, intense work environment.
  • Ability to work any station in the kitchen.
  • Ability to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed, and accuracy.
  • Ability to prioritize, organize, delegate work, and follow through with assigned tasks.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet production schedules and timelines.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks at once while maintaining a high level of professionalism.
  • Ability to work well with others in a team environment.
