Job Overview

Skylimit Systems is seeking a highly skilled Network Management Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of cutting-edge network solutions for satellite communication systems.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in network design and management, with experience in aerospace, telecommunications, or a related industry. They will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing network architectures for satellite communication systems, ensuring high availability and reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement network architectures for satellite communication systems, ensuring high availability and reliability.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize network performance to ensure efficient data flow and minimal latency.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate network solutions with satellite payloads and ground systems.
  • Develop and maintain network management tools and dashboards for real-time monitoring and reporting.
  • Perform regular assessments and audits of network security and implement best practices to safeguard data integrity.
  • Support the deployment and configuration of networking equipment, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
  • Document network configurations, processes, and procedures to ensure knowledge sharing and compliance with industry standards.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends to recommend enhancements and upgrades to the network infrastructure.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, Software Engineering, Network Engineering, or a related field (Master's preferred).
  • Proven experience in network design and management, preferably in aerospace, telecommunications, or a related industry.
  • Strong knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, SNMP, etc.) and technologies (MPLS, SD-WAN, etc.).
  • Experience with SQL databases.
  • Experience with satellite communication systems and related technologies is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with network security principles and practices.
  • Proficient in network monitoring tools and performance analysis.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
