Loads, Dynamics, and Test Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Loads, Dynamics, and Test Engineer to join our team at General Atomics Systems Integration (GA-SI) in Kaysville, UT. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for determining and developing effective approaches for resolving complex engineering problems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform structural analysis (static and dynamic) of aircraft components, assemblies, test fixtures, and systems in an integrated team environment.
  • Conduct Finite Element Analysis of metallic structures using computer analysis methods and classical hand-calculation methods, including stress, stability, high and low cycle fatigue, damage tolerance, fracture analysis, random vibration, shock, and development of loads from time histories.
  • Support the development of structural test plans, instrumentation requirements, on-site testing, and test data analysis.
  • Document findings, communicate results to engineering staff, and make technical presentations as required.
  • Coordinate segments of specific projects and engage in frequent inter-organization and customer contact on difficult technical issues.
  • Communicate effectively and professionally in all interactions through both written and verbal methods.
  • Plan for future applications of solutions based on new developments in engineering technology and approaches.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Adhere to all laws, regulations, and other applicable obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of General Atomics.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
