Tenure Track Faculty Position in Nursing

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced nursing faculty member to join our team at George Mason University's School of Nursing. As a tenure-track faculty member, you will contribute to the mission of the School of Nursing through innovative and impactful education, research, and service.
Responsibilities- Teach across the curriculum, including undergraduate and graduate courses;
- Mentor graduate and doctoral students in research projects;
- Engage in academic and professional service that advances the School's mission;
- Participate in faculty governance;
- Develop and maintain an extramurally funded, independent research program;
- Produce high-impact, peer-reviewed publications;
- Engage in multidisciplinary collaborations.
- An earned PhD (or equivalent research doctorate) from an accredited institution in nursing or a health-related field;
- Expertise in effectively teaching in both undergraduate and graduate courses;
- Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills;
- Postdoctoral training or academic teaching experience;
- Identified a focused program of research with the potential to obtain external funding;
- An established record of peer-reviewed publications;
- Employment as a registered nurse in a healthcare service organization, government agency, professional organization, or academic setting;
- Experience mentoring and/or teaching nursing students and other nurses;
- Eligible for licensure as a Registered Nurse in Virginia or a Nursing Licensure Compact (NLC) participating state.
- Postdoctoral training or academic teaching experience as an adjunct or full-time faculty;
- Experience writing academic research grant proposals;
- Expertise in acute care, medical/surgical, and psych/mental health nursing.
