Job Title: PH Registered Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated PH Registered Nurse to join our team at the Georgia Department of Public Health. As a PH Registered Nurse, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and promoting public health in our community.

Job Summary:

The PH Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing professional nursing care to patients in accordance with established protocols and procedures. This includes conducting health assessments, developing and implementing care plans, and educating patients and families on health promotion and disease prevention.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide professional nursing care to patients in accordance with established protocols and procedures.
  • Conduct health assessments and develop and implement care plans.
  • Educate patients and families on health promotion and disease prevention.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes.
Requirements:
  • Associate's degree in nursing from an accredited college or university.
  • Current Georgia Registered Professional Nurse license.
  • CPR certification.
  • One year of experience as a PH Registered Nurse or completion of a PHN course within one year of hire.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Superior interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently under established clinic protocols.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with corporate clients.
  • Self-directed.
  • Ability to complete tasks without detailed supervision.
  • Excellent computer skills.
  • Experience vaccinating all age groups.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak Spanish.
