We are seeking a highly skilled Public Health Registered Nurse to join our team at the Georgia Department of Public Health. As a Public Health Registered Nurse, you will play a critical role in promoting and protecting the health and safety of the residents of Cobb and Douglas counties.
Key Responsibilities- Provide professional nursing care in accordance with nurse protocols, policies, and procedures.
- Focus on the prevention of illness, injury, or disability, and the promotion of health and maintenance of the health of populations.
- Care for populations with special needs during disasters/emergencies and biological and chemical protocols.
- Assist with conducting comprehensive assessments of clients' health care needs.
- Assist with conducting community needs assessments.
- Identify high-risk populations and tailor interventions based on the needs of the population and the resources available.
- Associate's degree in nursing from an accredited college or university.
- Completion of a PHN course within one year.
- Current Georgia Registered Professional Nurse license.
- CPR certification.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Some public health and infectious disease experience helpful.
- Ability to speak Spanish preferred but not required.
