We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at the Georgia Department of Public Health. As a Public Health LPN, you will play a vital role in providing assistance to public health clinics throughout the 12 counties within District 4 Public Health.
Key Responsibilities- Administer immunizations to patients of all ages, adhering to established guidelines and procedures.
- Perform annual school and daycare immunization audits, ensuring compliance with regulations.
- Complete quarterly reports, providing valuable insights into public health trends.
- Assist with annual scoliosis screenings, promoting health and wellness in our communities.
- Participate in health fairs and educational programs, engaging with the public and promoting healthy behaviors.
- Perform TB screenings and administer PPD skin tests, responding to public health emergencies as needed.
- Use computer technology to collect, store, and retrieve data, supporting program planning and evaluation.
- Vocational/Technical degree in licensed practical nursing from an accredited college.
- Current Georgia license to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
- CPR certification.
- Minimum of 0 years of experience as a nurse in the Department of Public Health or the County of Board of Health.
- Public Health experience.
- Experience with screenings, immunizations, GRITS, and interviewing.
- Spanish/English speaking language skills.
