Job Summary

DISH is seeking a highly skilled Field Engineer II to join our Wireless Development organization. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting our 5G ORAN network infrastructure, ensuring seamless connectivity and exceptional customer experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on cell site equipment, including base station transmitters, fiber networks, and test equipment.
  • Collaborate with microwave and transport experts to resolve integration, commissioning, and post-launch issues.
  • Work closely with RF and construction teams to troubleshoot network functionality issues during construction, post-construction, and commissioning.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records, submit regular reports, and complete audits as required.
  • Resolve network tickets within assigned service level agreements (SLAs) in collaboration with the Network Operation Center (NOC).
Requirements
  • 4-7 years of experience in telecommunications with direct experience in RAN, 4G LTE cell site troubleshooting, and testing.
  • Familiarity with testing protocols for transport, RF, base-station turn-up, commissioning, and validation.
  • Troubleshooting experience with antenna systems using tools like a spectrum analyzer.
  • Optimization, troubleshooting, and maintenance of base station equipment, radio transmitters, Fiber network gear, and test equipment.
