The Opportunity

RS&H is seeking an experienced Water Resources Engineering Associate II to join our Pacific NW Water Resources team.

This position offers a hybrid schedule of in-office and remote work.

Essential Functions
  • Assist with the design of stormwater management facilities, water quality treatment, flow control facilities, roadway collection and conveyance systems, bridge/culvert crossings, and other drainage infrastructure.
  • Perform hydrologic and hydraulic calculations and modeling analysis.
  • Assist with the preparation of design and permitting documents for water resources project components, including design documentation reports, calculations, cost estimates, construction plans, and permit applications.
  • Perform as-needed field investigations and observations of ongoing construction projects.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited program.
  • Minimum three years relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local codes, criteria, regulations, and ordinances.
  • Proficiency in production software and construction document production.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills and ability to effectively interact with and build strong relationships with clients, customers, contractors, team members, and other key stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certification as an Engineering in Training (EIT).
  • Experience with Microstation/OpenRoads Designer, AutoCAD Civil 3D, H&H modeling tools including SWMM, WWHM, HEC-RAS, HY-8 or similar.
  • Experience with stormwater management design, and scour analysis and design.
  • Experience or exposure to ODOT plans preparation and design standards.
  • Experience with stormwater management design and analysis and knowledge of hydrologic and hydraulic engineering principles.
