The RoleWe're seeking a highly skilled Field Operations Engineer II to apply approved technologies and architectures to specific requirements for additions to support growth and new services. This role involves developing and defining plans for the implementation of new plant construction or modifications to existing facilities, preparing plans and specifications, and gathering field data.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in planning and/or engineering, with experience in analyzing local and wide area network systems and/or customer network environment. They will be skilled in planning, designing, evaluating, selecting operating systems and protocol suites, and configuring communication media with concentrators, bridges, and other devices.
Main Responsibilities- Develop and implement plans for the installation and testing of plant facilities.
- Monitor and control project expenditures, ensuring the most feasible, practical, and economical means to complete the work are utilized.
- Provide cost data to support capital planning and budgeting.
- Oversee the installation and testing of plant facilities, ensuring they meet the required specifications.
- Analyze local and wide area network systems and/or customer network environment, including planning, designing, evaluating, selecting operating systems and protocol suites, and configuring communication media with concentrators, bridges, and other devices.
- Resolve interoperability problems to obtain operations across all platforms, including email, file transfer, multimedia, teleconferencing, and other services.
- Configure systems to user environments, ensuring seamless integration and functionality.
- Support the acquisition and implementation of hardware and software, as well as subcontractor services, as needed.
We're looking for a highly experienced professional with a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent education and experience, or 2-3 years with a Master's Degree. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in planning and/or engineering, with experience in analyzing local and wide area network systems and/or customer network environment.
CompensationThe starting salary for this role differs based on the employee's primary work location. Employees typically do not start at the top of the range, though compensation depends on each individual's qualifications.
Location Based Pay Ranges
$ $85300 in these states: AR, ID, KY, LA, ME, MS, NE, SC, and SD.
$ $89780 in these states: AZ, AL, FL, GA, IN, IA, KS, MO, MT, NM, ND, OH, OK, PA, TN, UT, VT, WV, WI, and WY.
$ $94270 in these states: CO, HI, MI, MN, NV, NH, NC, OR, and RI.
$ $98760 in these states: AK, CA, CT, DE, DC, IL, MD, MA, NJ, NY, TX, VA, and WA.
As with the pay range variety that's based on the region of a country, specific offers are determined by various factors such as experience, education, skills, certifications, and other business needs.
