Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Court Clerk to join our team at Dallas County. As a Court Clerk, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our court system.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare, process, and reconcile a variety of legal documents and records
  • Research and resolve problems/issues related to court cases
  • Interact effectively with the public, judges, prosecutors, attorneys, and other County departments
  • May serve as the court administrator or liaison on behalf of the courts
  • Work within a well-defined framework of policies and procedures
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Graduation from an accredited high school/GED program
  • Four (4) years of job-related experience or 60 college hours or a combination of the two
  • Ability to type 35 wpm or 70 kspm
  • Ability to operate office equipment
  • Knowledge of computer applications and standard word processing software
  • Ability to enter data
  • Knowledge of the criminal justice system
Working Conditions

This is a standard office environment role that may require prolonged sitting, standing, walking, and the ability to lift and carry files, boxes, and other materials up to 25 lbs., unassisted.
