Position Title: Engineering Technology/Mechatronics Adjunct Faculty (Part-Time)

Employment Type: Part-Time

Compensation: Payment per credit hour is based on qualifications.

Job Overview:
The Commonwealth of Virginia is seeking applications for part-time faculty positions in Engineering Technology and Mechatronics within the School of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM). These adjunct roles are filled on a course-by-course basis as required. The faculty will be responsible for delivering college-level courses either in-person or through a hybrid model, where lectures are conducted online and practical labs are held on-site.

Faculty members are expected to stay updated with the latest developments in their teaching fields and trends in community college education. Active participation in departmental communications is also a requirement.

Application Review:
Applications will be reviewed as the need for adjunct faculty arises and will continue until positions are filled.

Minimum Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
- A minimum of two (2) years of relevant occupational experience.

All adjunct faculty must demonstrate strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills. They should be capable of creating syllabi and assessments, developing learning strategies, and working effectively with a diverse student population.

Preferred Qualifications:
- A Master's degree in Engineering.
- Prior teaching experience at the college level.
