Job Description

**About the Role**

We are seeking a highly qualified Adjunct Faculty member to teach Information Systems Technology courses at Virginia Western Community College. As an Adjunct Faculty member, you will be responsible for teaching college-level courses in-person on our main campus, as well as hybrid or distance learning/online courses.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Information Systems Technology courses to students of varying abilities and backgrounds
  • Develop and implement curriculum and assessments to meet the needs of our students
  • Use technology to enhance the learning experience and engage students
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop and implement departmental goals and objectives
  • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the development of the Information Systems Technology program

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Information Systems Technology or a related field
  • Two years of related occupational experience
  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to work with students of varying abilities and backgrounds
  • Experience using technology in the classroom and teaching online

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience teaching in a college setting
  • Demonstrated skills in successfully working with diverse populations
  • Occupational experience and current certifications in the topic of interest
