Assistant Clinical Director Job Description

NFI Massachusetts Inc., a leading non-profit human services agency, is seeking an experienced Assistant Clinical Director to join our team. Our Intensive Residential Treatment Program (IRTP) in Westborough, MA, provides short-term locked facilities for male and female youth with serious mental illness and/or severe emotional and/or behavioral disturbances.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the Clinical Director to plan, implement, and oversee clinical services.
  • Review client records to ensure quality and compliance with funding source regulations.
  • Provide feedback and training to program staff on record-keeping best practices.
  • Offer individual counseling as defined by each client's treatment plan.
  • Facilitate clinical in-service training and develop curriculum for therapeutic groups.
  • Work with program management and staff to ensure a therapeutic milieu and clinical orientation.
  • Facilitate family meetings and home visits as defined by each client's treatment plan.
  • Act as a liaison with psychiatrists and other agencies providing auxiliary clinical services.
  • Coordinate case conferences, treatment meetings, and clinical review meetings as needed.
  • Be familiar with all program emergency procedures.
  • Participate in on-call rotations.
  • Supervise and support the clinical development of program clinicians and other clinical team members.
Requirements:
  • No consistent caseload, but may support complex cases or family therapy.
  • Previous supervisory experience is ideal.
  • LMHC, LICSW, or LMFT license is required.
  • Experience working with adolescents and their families, as well as expertise in trauma, crisis stabilization, and management, is essential.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and writing skills are required.
  • Must be fully vaccinated or willing to be vaccinated against COVID-19, per state regulations.
