We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Laboratory Technologist to join our Integrated Genetics team in Westborough, MA. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing complex molecular-based procedures, including NGS, with a high degree of quality and in accordance with established protocols.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform molecular-based procedures, including NGS, with a high degree of quality and in accordance with established protocols.
  • Maintain complete documentation for all steps of the processes as outlined in SOPs.
  • Prepare reagents for testing.
  • Analyze and interpret patient test results.
  • Participate in the training of other technologists, at the discretion of the supervisor.
  • Troubleshoot assays and reagent qualification issues.
  • Participate in verification and validation studies for process improvements, new equipment, and new technology transfer at the discretion of the supervisor.
  • Contribute to ongoing process improvement efforts.
  • Coordinate work assignments and be able to prioritize independently.
  • Participate in a team approach to workflow management of the lab.
  • Perform and document preventive maintenance and quality control procedures.
  • Identify and replenish testing bench supplies as necessary.
  • Assist with processing of specimens when needed.
  • Maintain a safe work environment and wear appropriate personal protective equipment.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a Chemical or Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology or meet local regulatory (CLIA & State) requirements.
  • Minimum 1 year of clinical laboratory testing experience is required OR an MLS degree.
  • ASCP or AMT certification is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of molecular genetics and general chemistry.
  • Previous experience performing molecular techniques, such as DNA extraction, PCR, sequencing, NGS, genotyping highly desired.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
  • Proficient with computers; Familiarity with laboratory information systems is a plus.
  • High level of attention detail along with strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Must be able to pass a standardized color vision screen.
  • Flexibility to work overtime or other shifts depending on business needs.
