About Us:

T. Marzetti Company, a leading manufacturer and marketer of specialty food products, is seeking a skilled Human Resources Generalist to join our team. Our company operates in the retail and foodservice markets, with a portfolio of brands including Marzetti, New York BakeryTM, and Sister Schubert's.

**Job Summary:**

This is a dynamic role that requires a strong understanding of human resources principles and practices. The successful candidate will provide coaching, leadership, and delivery of services to build capability, maximize associate engagement, and ensure talent acquisition. The HR Generalist will work closely with an agile HR team to serve key internal plant customers, supporting their talent needs to drive business results.

**Responsibilities:**

**Engagement:**

* Maintain positive associate, corporate, and community relationships through effective communication and coaching.

* Maximize associate engagement and minimize litigious activity by providing guidance on policy interpretation and coaching for improved performance.

* Participate in associate activities and engagement initiatives to foster a positive work environment.

**Talent Acquisition:**

* Develop, facilitate, and implement all phases of the recruitment process, including job postings, advertisements, and candidate selection.

* Collaborate with department managers to identify and draft detailed job descriptions and hiring criteria.

* Identify and implement efficient and effective recruiting methods and strategies to attract quality candidates.

**Building Capability:**

* Develop, coordinate, and implement successful learning and development activities for associates, including training programs and workshops.

* Facilitate discussions and decisions within the organization regarding role clarity, organizational changes, and required capability and talent.

**Requirements:**

* Bachelor's degree in human resources, business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

* Minimum of 3 years of prior experience in HR, preferably in a progressive human resources environment.

* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.

* Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, specifically PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.

**Working Conditions:**

The HR Generalist will work in an office and manufacturing environment, with regular attendance required. The role may involve working on second and third shifts, and limited weekend work. Earplugs, hairnets, and safety glasses may be required in the plant.
