Job Summary

The Senior Administrative Assistant plays a vital role in supporting the facilitation of administrative workflow within the department and/or unit. This role is responsible for providing administrative support to multiple Research Faculty Members at the Children's Health Institute.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Schedules appointments and meetings, making arrangements for travel and conferences as needed.
  • Responds to inquiries and calls, escalating issues to other levels of the organization as necessary.
  • Formats, types, and edits correspondence, documents, and reports, ensuring accuracy and professionalism.
  • Compiles financial and operational data to assist management in preparing and monitoring budget and workforce planning.
  • Distributes and disseminates information within the department and/or unit, maintaining an internal filing system.
  • Orders supplies and arranges for equipment maintenance, submitting and tracking invoices and reimbursements.
  • May act as or support the Staff Development Advisory Network (SDAN), Safety Representative, and/or UKG editor within the department and/or unit.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma/GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Two (2) years of office and administrative experience in a healthcare or academic setting, with a focus on time management, software applications, and confidentiality.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
