Job Summary:The University of Baltimore is seeking a highly qualified Assistant Professor to join its faculty in the College of Public Affairs. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching and mentoring students in the undergraduate and graduate programs in Health Management and Health Administration.
Responsibilities:- Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Health Management and Health Administration, including courses in health economics, finance, policy, and quality performance and improvement.
- Develop and implement curriculum to meet the needs of the programs and students.
- Conduct research and publish scholarly articles in the field of health administration.
- Participate in service activities, such as committee work and professional development.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement program initiatives.
- Doctoral degree (Ph.D. or equivalent) in Health Administration, Healthcare Management, Public Health, or a closely related field.
- Experience in teaching and mentoring students in health administration programs.
- Strong research and publication record in the field of health administration.
- Ability to develop and implement curriculum to meet the needs of the programs and students.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with synchronous online teaching using Zoom and/or Teams.
- Experience with asynchronous instruction using leading content management platforms.
- Experience with certification of undergraduate and graduate programs.
- Practical experience and/or certification or licensure in an allied health or human services field.
