Key Responsibilities- Manage the preparation and review of loan documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Independently process and close loans within a complex loan operations environment.
- Apply professional judgment, analytical thinking, and knowledge of data analysis tools and methodologies to make recommendations to senior management to support process improvement.
- Lead and provide guidance to a small team, ensuring effective collaboration and communication.
- Deal with most loan-related problems independently, with some latitude to resolve complex issues.
- Apply judgment when interpreting data, preparing reports, and presenting findings to management with recommendations based on identified trends and facts.
- Design and analyze complex reports related to loan documentation processes to satisfy management requirements and support/control activities.
- Participate in and support the implementation of projects as assigned, applying project management skills to support initiatives.
- Interpret data and make recommendations for the launch of new products/services and upgraded platforms that loan documentation/processing functions.
- Demonstrate a solid understanding of loan documentation processes to identify policy gaps and formulate policies to support the streamlining of related work processes.
- Minimize risk to the bank through a solid understanding of procedural requirements, providing solutions to reduce errors and adhere to audit and control policies.
- Timely management, escalation, and resolution of all requests/inquiries/issues/errors related to loan documentation.
- Apply a solid understanding of how the team and area integrate with others in accomplishing the objectives of the sub-unit and the wider Operations group.
- Provide informal guidance and/or on-the-job training to new team members.
- Have direct interaction with external customers to disseminate or explain information.
- Assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets.
- 5-8 years of experience in loan operations or a related field.
- Reasonable knowledge of business processes, systems, and tools used in the loan process.
- Demonstrate understanding of loan processes, procedures, products, and services.
- General awareness of managing, preparing, and reviewing loan documentation.
- Adequate ability to identify, mitigate, manage, resolve, and escalate risks and issues.
- Awareness of risk types, policies, and control measures and processes.
- Comply with applicable laws, rules, and regulations, and adhere to policies.
Bachelor's/University degree or equivalent experience.
