Job Summary

The Business Loans Risk and Control Senior Manager is a strategic professional responsible for managing professional teams and departments. This role requires in-depth understanding of how areas collectively integrate within the sub-function as well as coordinate and contribute to the objectives of the entire function. The successful candidate will have developed communication and diplomacy skills to guide, influence, and convince others, particularly colleagues in other areas and occasional external customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and oversee the application of operational risk policies, technology, and tools to minimize losses from failed internal processes, inadequate controls, and emerging risks.
  • Independently assess risks and drive actions to address the root causes that persistently lead to operational risk losses by challenging both historical and proposed practices.
  • Provide governance and oversight, including technology operational risk, risk management, and Issues Management (KPI/KRI/Corrective Action Plans).
  • Resolve transactional level escalations coming from vendors or internal partners.
  • Analyze multiple scorecards/performance management tools to mitigate exposure (risk/financial/regulatory).
  • Monitor goals are met through performance, risk, and relationship oversight of the extended supply chain.
  • Collaborate to resolve issues within the terms of the contract.
  • Develop and maintain relationships across business users and Lines of Defense to better understand and deliver customer requirements.
  • Exercise independence of judgment and autonomy.
  • Act as a subject matter expert to senior stakeholders and/or other team members.
Requirements
  • 6-10 years of experience.
  • Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Business writing experience preferred.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other Office applications, including PowerPoint.
  • In-depth knowledge of Loan Operations processes and technology platforms supporting the Operations.
  • Knowledge of Loan Products, Loan Operations processes, including LSTA, LMA, lending standards, regulations, and/or internal audit experience.
  • Project management and governance experience with demonstrated ability to achieve and exceed critical milestones.
  • Outstanding leadership, communication, and influencing skills.
  • Ability to foster working relationships with other leaders across multiple lines of business and with support organizations, including auditors and regulators.
  • Demonstrated judgment and critical thinking skills.
Education

Bachelor's/University degree, Master's degree preferred.

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range: $114, $172,080.00
