Job Overview

Orange Hill Restaurant is seeking a highly skilled Banquet Captain to oversee the planning, execution, and coordination of special events and banquets. This is a unique opportunity to join a renowned upscale dining and special event establishment known for its breathtaking views, culinary excellence, and exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and supervise banquet staff to ensure exceptional service and adherence to established standards.
  • Collaborate with event planners and clients to understand their needs and preferences.
  • Set up banquet rooms according to event specifications and maintain a keen eye for detail.
  • Monitor event timelines and coordinate with various departments to ensure smooth execution.
  • Train and mentor banquet staff to uphold service standards and enhance their skills.
  • Handle guest inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Maintain inventory and ensure proper storage and handling of banquet equipment.
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure the timely and accurate delivery of food and beverages.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of proven experience as a Banquet Captain or similar role in a high-end restaurant or hospitality setting.
  • Exceptional organizational and leadership skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of banquet and event planning processes.
  • Familiarity with food and beverage service, including wine and cocktail knowledge.
