Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Banquet Captain to oversee the planning, execution, and coordination of banquets and private events. As a Banquet Captain, you will be responsible for leading a team of banquet staff, ensuring seamless execution of events, and maintaining the highest standards of service and quality.

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and coordinate all aspects of banquet and private event operations, including setup, execution, and teardown.
  • Lead and supervise banquet staff, ensuring they deliver exceptional service and adhere to established standards.
  • Collaborate with event planners and clients to understand their needs and preferences, ensuring seamless execution of events.
  • Set up banquet rooms according to event specifications and maintain a keen eye for detail.
  • Monitor event timelines and coordinate with various departments to ensure smooth execution.
  • Train and mentor banquet staff to uphold service standards and enhance their skills.
  • Handle guest inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Maintain inventory and ensure proper storage and handling of banquet equipment.
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure the timely and accurate delivery of food and beverages.
  • Uphold cleanliness and organization in banquet areas, adhering to health and safety guidelines.
Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of proven experience as a Banquet Captain or similar role in a high-end restaurant or hospitality setting.
  • Exceptional organizational and leadership skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of banquet and event planning processes.
  • Familiarity with food and beverage service, including wine and cocktail knowledge.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
