We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Analyst to join our team at Creative Financial Staffing. As a key member of our financial operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our accounts payable processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Set up and maintain vendor files and W9 forms
  • Primary point of contact for all technology - Systems "Super User"
  • Receive, review, and verify invoices and check requests
  • Post invoices into accounting system on a daily and timely basis while ensuring invoices are coded to the correct GL accounts and cost centers
  • Ensure invoices are correctly approved at the appropriate level prior to payment
  • Reconcile vendor statements with vendor ledgers
  • Communicate with vendors to resolve account discrepancies and respond to vendor inquiries
  • Record fixed asset acquisitions, understand capitalization rules, maintain depreciation schedule, and record depreciation journal entries in the accounting system; runs fixed asset reports
  • Assist in the reconciliation for balance sheet accounts such as: prepaid expenses and accrued liabilities; assist with the month-end and year-end closing
  • Provide supporting schedules and documentation for the annual audit
  • Work closely with the Controller on various analyses and process improvement optimization projects
  • Participate in ad-hoc projects and special tasks, as assigned
Requirements:
  • Associates or Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred, but not required
  • 2+ years of experience with full cycle AP in a mid to large sized company
  • Solid understanding of GAAP/General Accounting
  • Proven attention to detail, excellence in timeliness, accuracy, and consistency of data entry
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills; ability to multi-task and meet strict deadlines
  • Strong written and verbal communication and problem-solving skills
  • Technologically savvy
