Job Summary

As a New Business Development Executive at US Foods, you will be responsible for identifying and pursuing high-potential sales leads to drive revenue growth. Your primary goal will be to develop profitable new business opportunities that can be transitioned to our Territory Managers, ultimately contributing to the company's annual sales and profit operating plans.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Source and develop new business opportunities through market research and strategic networking.
  • Pursue highest potential sales leads for conversion into US Foods customers, focusing on divisional customers with sales potential exceeding $0.5 million annually.
  • Provide strategic support to Territory Managers by capturing and penetrating high-growth opportunities, developing market share, and delivering sound business plans to achieve divisional targets.
  • Collaborate with Category and Segment Specialists to create order guides and pricing for prospective accounts, presenting compelling offerings to secure new customer partnerships.
  • Maintain a pipeline of emerging high-potential clients, researching their requirements, menu design, and current suppliers to analyze market trends and competitors' activities.

Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you will need:
  • A minimum of 3 years of sales experience, preferably in the foodservice industry, with a proven track record of opening accounts greater than $0.5 million.
  • Exceptional sales and interpersonal skills, with the ability to warm, convert, and close high-potential new street accounts.
  • An undergraduate degree and excellent communication and negotiation skills, along with strong presentation abilities.
  • The capacity to work autonomously, meet tight deadlines, and maintain a high level of detail accuracy under pressure.
